The Illini travelled to Indianapolis on February 8. Tunde competed in the long jump only. This is the final meet before the Big Ten Championships in two weeks. In fact, according to Tunde they've been training hard over the past week in order to prepare the Big Ten's in Iowa City. (He was a little leg-tired this past weekend.)
Despite this, Tunde lept 24-5 (his second-best jump ever) and finished second. Reggie Torian, who the previous day set a collegiate record in the 60m hurdles, went 24-6.5 in the long jump to win. Tunde finished second. Tunde beat Reggie earlier this year.
