CICS Socket Interface - Tips and Techniques - Miscellaneous
-
Need to handle TCP/IP failure in regions with CICS
Socket Interface.
-
Local solution (see appendix) runs periodically (every 3 minutes) to
verify listener task (CSKL) is in the CICS task list.
-
IBM supplied program EZACIC20, also used to start/stop the
interface in the PLT(s), can be utilized as appropriate.
-
Need to occasionally verify that the CICS Socket Interface is working
and do IVP testing (see appendix).
-
If using CA-InterTest, need to update the IN25UEXI IN25UEX
macros which define the code signatures for
callable interfaces like the CICS Socket Interface,
DB2, MQSERIES, etc. See notes for details.
