Currently employed at the NERDC (Northeast Regional Data Center) on the UF (University of Florida) campus as a Systems Programmer with an "official" title of Coordinator, Computer Systems Control. Previous employment has included application programming at Student Financial Affairs (at UF) and Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Co. (beginning in 1979). At NERDC, I install, maintain, and support the IBM CICS (Customer Information Control System) OLTP (On-Line Transaction Processing) system software and other ancillary software which run under the control of CICS. I've been at NERDC since February, 1986 and at UF since October, 1983.


BSBA from UF in June, 1979 with a major in Quantitative Management through the College of Business Administration with an unofficial minor in CIS (Computer and Information Sciences).


Not currently teaching, but have taught CIS 4300 (Information Systems Design and Development) at UF for 5 semesters.


Member of the SFCC (Santa Fe Community College) Computer and Information Science Advisory Committee. Member of the NERDC CICS User Group. Co-founder and membership chairperson of the Florida CICS User Group. Charter lifetime member of the UF National Alumni Association. Lifetime "Ambassador" member of USA Water Ski/AWSA (American Waterski Association). Lifetime member of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity. Member of AWSEF (American Waterski Educational Foundation). Former member and past president, treasurer, and education chairperson of the North Central Florida Chapter of AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals, formerly known as DPMA - Data Processing Management Association). I've presented technical sessions at UF, SHARE, the Development Center Institute, and AITP/DPMA.


Frisbee = fun. Waterskiing - enjoy slalom, barefoot, tricks, kneeboard, and skiboard. Snow skiing - enjoy downhill, snowboard, nordic, and snow skates. Guitar - play mostly blues and rock with influences like Eric Clapton, The Allman Brothers, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, Dave Mason, Al Dimeola, Tinsley Ellis, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Wishbone Ash, etc. Computer related - Linux, OS/2, REXX, WWW, and enjoy surfing the net!
