CIRCA's networking roles:



1. Provide high-reliability networking from CIRCA labs to campus resources
(NERDC,
Internet, other campus resources).
2. Provide distribution and technical coordination for DECNet and other DEC
protocols and
related issues (network numbering, monitoring, consulting).
3. Provide distribution and technical coordination for Novell IPX protocols
and related
issues (network numbering, monitoring, consulting).
4. Participate in planning and/or operations partnerships with other campus
units
(Architecture, Fine Arts, Education, OIR)
5. Provide planning and/or operations support to other campus units (HHP;
Housing,
Student Government).
6. Participate in campus standards development through NTSC and ad hoc
planning groups.
7. Provide network consulting and client software to end users through Help
Desk.
8. Provide network technical consulting to LAN managers. CETS
