As I indicated in my Syllabus, each member of the class will produce a written project during the course of the semester. This assignment will count for 10% of your final score and will be graded on a pass/fail basis, subject to the following RULES:
1. Content: Choose any topic that has been or will be covered during the class, as described in your syllabus. No research needs to be conducted outside your textbook and class notes. This is a creative-writing project. I want you to produce a simple essay about a subject that we have or will discuss in our class. Imagination and good humor are strongly encouraged. When referring to our casebook, please cite specific pages in parenthesis. I will assume that "(p. ##)" is a citation to a page in our casebook, therefore, do not use a full-citation format.
2. Length: No less than two, no more than three typed letter-size pages. Maximum double spaced. One inch margins all around.
3. When, Where and How: Due date: ALL ESSAYS MUST BE DELIVERED ON OR BEFORE 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 4, 1997. The essays must be turned in to me, before or after class or in my office, or to my secretary, Pamela Smith, in the secretarial pool office. Early submission is fine.
