CNS LPR-delivery Printer Definition Request Form

Use this form to request that CNS define (or update) a mainframe print-queue which will deliver output to your site using the LPR protocol. The resulting mainframe print destination will have a name of the form "TEVPxxxx". For more information, see CNS DOCSYS document D0105, "lpr: Routing Print to the Internet". Questions and comments should be sent to net-services@lists.ufl.edu
If this is a request to update the attributes of an existing LPR-delivery print-queue, enter the mainframe "TEVPxxxx" printer name.
Existing TEVPxxxx name (leave blank for new requests):

Enter the fully-qualified hostname (including domain) of the Internet host where your LPR-server (also known as an LPD) runs. This host might be the printer itself if the printer is directly attached to the network, otherwise it will be the print-gateway where the LPR-server runs, such as a Unix or Netware server, or a Windows or Macintosh server.
Hostname:

Enter the LPR-protocol name of the printer. This is a one-word name, such as pslaser. For gateways into proprietary systems such as Netware or Appletalk, do not give the proprietary systems's print-queue name -- use the "lpr printer name" you will define in your gateway's LPD software. Be sure to retain the upper/lower case of letters when you type in this answer; printer names are case sensitive on many systems, Unix hosts in particular.
LPR printer name:

Enter a CNS userid which is allowed to access CICS. In most CNS systems, the overhead for print delivery is charged to the sender of the printout. CICS is a necessary exception. In CICS, the printer must be pre-authorized to run the transaction which does the printing. For this reason, a valid CNS userid must be placed in the printer definition. This userid will also be the one which is billed for the print transaction. If printing will be done from CICS, this field MUST be filled in.
CNS userid:

The driving software can optionally add formatting codes to the start of each print file. Please select from the following:
None -- Nothing will be added to the print data
