The Florida Dental Care Study (FDCS) was a highly successful longitudinal, observational cohort study of oral health and dental care. A great deal has been learned from this study. We have published more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific research articles in 30 different journal titles. This study was funded by eight grants from the U.S. National Institutes of Health. |

June 25, 2008. This page was established February 3, 1998. In March 2000, Dr.
Gilbert moved to the University of Alabama
at Birmingham School of Dentistry. However, he continues to maintain this
web page as a resource for the FDCS. This page is optimized for use by Internet
Explorer version 6.0. A WebTracker counter was established August 1998 and
operated until February 2004. Apparently, the company that provided this free
service went out of business. The FDCS web site had approximately 7500 hits
during that period. We chose not to identify another web tracking service and
so discontinued monitoring the number of visits to the site at that time.
